Ellie has partnered with horses and the land for the last 15 years, helping others to tune into the rhythms of the natural world, and their own internal guidance. She studied with Lynda Caesara for 9 years from 2004-2013, has continued to take classes from Lynda, and has hosted the Oak Dance on the land at Rainbow Reach for the last 6 years. She has studied extensively with Lynda Kohanov (author of The Tao of Equus), engaging in her accelerated Master Herder training in 2024, and completed her certification in Equine Guided Education with Ariana Strozzi in 2010. As a landscape architect and natural habitat restoration specialist, Ellie brings to her programs a deep, abiding love of the earth and all its creatures, and a capacity to work successfully with people from all walks of life.
“In this journey of life and career I faced many moments of challenge and choice, and learned to listen to my body, the natural world and the horses for inspiration, guidance, and direction. My goal is to provide a safe environment to help others along their journey.”
Susan Thornton PsyD, MBA
Susan studied psychology, ultimately pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology and becoming a therapist. Exploring the intersection of psychology and business, she recognized that was the space for her to leverage her insight and empathy as well as her business acumen and direct style. This led to a career in leadership consulting, starting in 2011. She completed an apprenticeship with Linda Kohanov, author of the Tao of Equus, and is a certified Epona guide. She has participated in and facilitated multiple workshops and retreats involving horses in personal and professional development. “What I love most about my work is helping people lead more effectively, which improves their impact on colleagues as well as those in their personal lives”.
